In history, other civilizations also gave rise to logographic writing systems, such as the hieroglyphs of ancient Egypt and the cuneiform script of Sumer. Unfortunately, their cultures have been interrupted, whereas the Chinese culture, represented by its characters, has endured uninterrupted, undergoing continuous development and refinement, resulting in the mature Chinese characters we have today.

The continuity of civilization depends significantly on whether the written language that carries its culture has been well-preserved. Therefore, Chinese civilization stands as the only one in the world that has persisted without extinction.

Due to the unbroken existence of Chinese characters, we are able to freely research a vast collection of ancient Chinese documents, enabling us to understand the customs of the time and various historical records.
