Do you get knee pain when lunging?

Well, my good friend, it is time to change that! 🧐

You don't want to get stuck avoiding beneficial movements, because over time that list will grow and grow until you give up on physical activity completely.

The nice thing is that all you need to do is use the lunge to fix your lunge! 🙌

Understanding how to break a movement down to its most basic level is incredibly important, once you know what you can tolerate, you can the rep it out and build strength! 😎

If you want to become more confident with lunges then by holding on to a support and taking out the balance element will allow you to work on your positions a lot easier!

Video yourself, watch how you move! Stacked joints are happy joints and if you see anything funky as you’re doing your lunges then you want to make it your mission to correct it!

Once you have a good foundation with your foot strength and balance your knees will be a lot happier and then you’ll actually have the freedom to do mad crazy out of alignment stuff with your knees and not need to worry about them exploding! 😝

Don’t shy away from the lunge, it is an incredible tool to have in your sandwich box and one of the best ways to build strength and stability in your hips to support your knees! 💪🏼

This concept applies to split squats and normal squats too! If you have something you avoid because of knee pain, find the regression that works for you and build it up with time, even if it just starts with being 10 reps a week.

Don’t be scared of movements! If you struggle with something, smother it with regressed, sensible, attentive practice until you don’t! 💪🏼
