If top-flight football didn’t have the profile it does, or rather have the dirty laundry of hooliganism festering in its utility room, none of this free advertising space would be gifted to an awareness campaign that is flawed.

The key to equal rights is not trampling upon other peoples’.

Football is not a campaign platform, thanks very much. It’s football.

In other news, Sonny had another miserable game but at the risk of being branded a contrarian, is benching him really the answer? Swapping the lad out would be counterproductive. Play Sonny through his slump and show the boy some respect. It’s not like one of his legs has been chopped off, and we’re hoping it grows back.
