Today we went to crouch end for pastries. Crouch End is a small little high street area in North London. We went to sourdough sofias and got some delicious pastries. They also make really good sourdough loaves as well.

We had some bad news about the flat in London that we are in the process of buying. There's a no pet clause. These clauses are quite common when buying flats. Which is why we asked the seller to check the lease for this clause. We were so happy to find out there wasn't a clause so booked in a (pretty expensive) survey, expecting to get a copy of the lease before (we had to book it in advance). They only gave us the lease after we had the survey done, and the first thing I checked was if there was a pet clause. There it was, in the first schedule, with very little room for interpretation. We are hoping that a deed of variation can be done, so we can still proceed with the purchase. But we aren't holding out too much hope. It all depends on what the freeholder says. The buying process over here isn't so simple.

I also cleared out my wardrobe. I never used to do this because I always had enough room for my clothes, but space is more limited since my partner moved in. But packing away my summer clothes has made finding things so much easier, I think I'll keep doing this every season from now on.
