3 Reasons why organizations should hire people with disabilities | Emily Munson | TEDxIndianapolis |
|
Emily Munson is one of a very, very small percentage of lawyers with disabilities. In this talk, she speaks to the unique world of disability law, practicing law with an intimate understanding of the domain she advocates for, and makes a compelling case for diverse hiring practices to consider the value of hiring candidates with disabilities. Emily Munson is an Indianapolis attorney with a passion for disability rights and health law. Currently, she leads the employment practice group at Indiana Disability Rights, working on both litigation and systemic advocacy projects. Prior to that, Munson was an attorney and administrative law judge for Indiana's Family & Social Services administration. In her spare time, Munson enjoys playing power soccer (in a specialized wheelchair) and kicking butt in board games! This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
