The Lenski Experiment. A Problem for Evolution. Creation Evidence. |

The E. coli long-term evolution experiment is an ongoing study in experimental evolution led by Richard Lenski that has been tracking genetic changes in 12 initially identical populations of asexual Escherichia coli bacteria since 24th February 1988.
After 32 years or 11,860 days of scientific observation of countless generations of E.coli, and an enormous amount of mutations, surely one of the 12 flasks should have something other than E.coli in it? “At some point you’re going to have to show that you have a gene where one function has now evolved into a gene with a different function, different protein folds and we are still waiting.” Scott Minnich Ph.D. “He didn’t see anything like the evolution of some new complex system like the flagellum, nothing remotely like that.” Michael Behe Ph.D. |
