Beth Middleton’s TEDxVermilionStreet talk discusses her experiences as a wetland biologist and her observations of the impacts of climate change. Dr. Middleton discusses our options to decrease the impacts of climate change on both ecological and personal levels. She assures that although the challenge to solve this large scale problem is daunting, humanity has proven itself capable of solving increasingly complex problems throughout history, and we are capable of solving the complex issue of climate change as well.
Beth Middleton obtained a PhD from Iowa State University and is currently a Research Ecologist at the United States Geological Survey - National Wetlands Research Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. Her research focuses on the effects of climate change and understanding the challenges to species conservation.
