2022 Kia EV6 review: Electric car Australia launch, EV range, charging, 0-100km/h and more |
|
Is the 2022 Kia EV6 electric car the most exciting new EV on the market in Australia?
Well, it won't outsell the Tesla Model 3 - there are stock constraints. And in that regard, it's in the same boat as the very impressive and mechanically related Hyundai Ioniq 5. But more importantly, this new Kia electric car is actually a brand-defining moment. This is Kia Australia's first-ever dedicated electric vehicle. Sure, it has the Niro small SUV - which comes in hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric - but the EV6 takes the Kia brand in a different direction. The prices? High, but that's to be expected of a flagship EV with luxury car inclusions. The driving range? Good, with city-to-city drives possible. The 0-100? Speedy! The way it drives?
