Eli speaks about the importance of keeping an open mind and the unintended consequences of heteronormativity. He explains that, as society has evolved, homophobia has not disappeared but evolved into its modern form of heteronormativity. Eli goes on to talk about how to combat this issue in order to create a more inclusive society. Eli is a freshman at Saddle River Day School in Saddle River, New Jersey. He is interested in politics and has a passion for ensuring social justice and equally for all in the modern era. Eli is secretary of the student council, plays soccer and lacrosse, and manages the boys varsity basketball team.
