The Elder Scrolls Blades is BETTER, however it may DIE ANYWAY!

The Elder Scrolls Legends, the Card Game which was functionally better than games like Hearthstone and Gwent entered maintenance mode almost a year ago. That means it is NO LONGER being developed, it just exists like an undead zombie, playable but never changing. We don't have exact numbers as to how profitable Elder Scrolls Legends was, but we know that the game was immediately adopted across several platforms. Elder Scrolls Blades on the other hand was promised to be released on ALL platforms including VR and two years later, only ever got an additional release on the Nintendo Switch.

Why is this important? Because much like Elder Scrolls Legends, Blades is a much better game than it was originally on release and contains much more content and many more systems than it had on release. Is it a No Man's Sky or Sea of Thieves level redemption story? NO. Certainly not. But it's BETTER than it was regardless, and it could still improve further.

So that's what we are going to talk about today. Not only the game's past, but it's potential in the future, if it doesn't get squashed under big Bethesda Softworks' heel.

Let's hope for a Steam Release and releases on all the other promised locations (Thanks Todd) ASAP, but for now, I'm playing it on my Cellphone, a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and controlling it with my computer using Scrcpy, an Open Source program that runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Functionally different from Samsung Dex which creates a second monitor for your phone on the Computer (that's how I did my previous video), for my purposes Scrcpy is actually the superior piece of software and I highly recommend it.

Also mentioned is the Ngage emulator EKA2L1 which is RIGHT NOW capable of BOOTING Elder Scrolls: Shadowkey the OTHER mobile game, and then promptly crashing it in the first or second combat sequence because it's not far enough along yet. However if you are a programmer and interested in seeing Shadowkey one day emulated for Online Co-Op, check out EKA2L1, it's open source and can use all the help it can get.

But Back to Blades. I discuss a lot of potential ways the game could be more profitable than it is now, and that will likely anger quite a few people who just want another non-live service Single Player Elder Scrolls game, oh well I'll take that as a challenge. Point is, we are discussing how the game could in theory improve as a Live Service.

With that all said, I'm going out of town for a while, goodbye. I'll have the channel Publish old VODS from my Daggerfall Live-Streams while I'm gone.
