Cross-sectoral consistency is an important consideration in the design of macroprudential policy. While macroprudential policy in the banking sector is operational macroprudential policy beyond banking is still in its formative stage. Panellists discussed the operationalisation of existing tools beyond the banking sector, the development and prioritisation of new macroprudential tools and the challenges and opportunities associated with their implementation.
