Dynamo Kyiv remain top of Ukrainian Premier League ahead of winter break |

Matchday 14 in the Ukrainian Premier League saw Dnipro draw at home to Metalurh Donetsk. Forward Moraes opened the scoring in the 11th minute for the visitors with a strike from just inside the area.
Dnipro were back on level terms just five minutes later however, as midfielder Konoplyanka connected with a cross from Lukevich. Dnipro pressed forward in search of a winner in the second half, but were unable to break the deadlock. Elsewhere Volyn recorded their third win in a row with a 3-1 home victory over Illichivets in arctic conditions. Two early goals gave Volyn the perfect start, before a third in the 29th minute but the result beyond doubt, in spite of a consolation for Illichivets courtesy of Yavorskogo. In the West Ukraine derby Karpaty defeated Hoverla 1-0 thanks to a 74th minute wonder strike from defender Kostevich. The win took Karpaty off the bottom of the table. At the top, Dynamo Kyiv remain in the lead with a five-point lead over their two closest rivals, Shakthar Donetsk and Dnipro.
