11-Player Napoleonic Campaign | Spring 1813

video thumbnail
Today the guys at Little Wars TV begin Part 1 of a massive Napoleonic wargame campaign, covering the Spring of 1813 in central Germany. Starting in late April 1813, players maneuver armies across a custom theater map and battle for the survival of Napoleon's empire. Before the game, we sit down with historian Dr. George Nafziger to understand how the events of 1812 shaped the stakes for 1813. To play the game, we're using Hollandspiele's "Campaign of Nations" hex and counter boardgame and combining that with the classic 1990s "Volley & Bayonet" rules for miniature battles.
