Recently, the central govt using emergency provisions under the Information Technology Rules, 2021 issued directions for blocking multiple YouTube videos and Twitter posts sharing links to the controversial BBC documentary India: The Modi Question. The two-part series deals with the 2002 Gujarat riots. Students across campuses gathered in small numbers to watch the documentary after it was banned by the govt. Many of these students were too young in 2002. So, was it curiosity?
