ROYAL REACTIONS
Nearly two million Aussies tuned in last night to watch Meghan Markle and Prince Harry open up about their lives and relationship with the royal family. Today, people around the world are talking about what it means for the British Monarchy, and for us here in Australia. People all over the world have had pretty strong reactions to Oprah Winfrey's interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The two hour long interview touched on things like mental health and the pressures of royal life. The couple also spoke about racist comments they'd heard within the royal family about their baby's skin colour. Although they say they weren't made by the Queen or Prince Philip. The royal family hasn't responded to the interview yet, but with so much attention on the royal family, and not all of it good, it's sparked conversation here about whether Australia should break away from its royal ties and lose the Queen as our head of state. That may be a while off, if it happens at all, but for now all eyes are on the royal family.

BURGER KING TWEET
People on social media have responded pretty badly to this tweet from a big name brand on International Women's day. The tweet from Burger King UK saying "women belong in the kitchen" sparked thousands of negative responses. But the company says it wasn't meant to be offensive, and was just one out of a series of tweets trying to promote its scholarships for female chefs.

CRITICS CHOICE AWARDS
Who's going to win big at this year's Oscars? Well, we don't know, but the Critics’ Choice Awards are normally a good indication. They've just been handed out in a virtual ceremony, and Minari actor, Alan Kim stole the show while accepting the award for best young actor.

ROBOTICS COMPETITION
Students from around Australia have put their robotic skills to the test at a national comp in Adelaide. Up for a grabs, a spot at the world championships. These robots are preparing for world domination! Okay not really, but it's a cool thing to say. This is the South Australian Robotics Championships where more than 50 teams battle it out to see which of their robots is the best. The idea is to learn more about engineering by designing, building and coding a walking, talking robot. Well, not talking so much, or walking, more like rolling, I guess? But they can solve problems! COVID has meant a split championship this year with competitions in three states and online, but the end goal's the same – get to the world championships! And it's hoped these students may even be inspired to take up a STEM related job in the future. But saving the world will have to wait for now, because these teams have some fierce competing to do!

HOCKEY ON LAKE BAIKAL
They may not be robots, but these hockey players sure know how to pass a puck onwards and forwards. Atop Russia's famous Baikal lake, hockey stars teamed up with the UN's Environment program to put on a special match highlighting the area's ecological problems, like pollution, and deforestation.

SUGA BIRTHDAY
K-Pop star Suga is officially another year older. The BTS member is today celebrating his 28th birthday. Fans have been celebrating online, wishing him a happy birthday in classic ARMY style.

SEA SLUG REGENERATION
And finally, how's this for moving onwards and upwards. These Japanese sea slugs can literally be cut in half and grow back! In the ultimate example of perseverance, take that Mars rover, these little guys can grow back their whole bodies, including their heart, from just their head.
