Endovenous Laser Ablation to treat Varicose Veins - Vein Health Vein Clinic |
|
EVLA (or endovenous laser ablation) treats major varicose veins that were previously treated by invasive vein stripping surgery. Here’s how it works: with ultrasound guidance, a laser fibre is placed into the abnormal vein through a tiny incision. The vein is then numbed with local anaesthetic, and the laser is activated as the fibre is slowly removed.
