Archaeologists are encouraged by the unquenchable desire to find the truth hidden in the fascinating stories told in the Greek epics Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. At the end of the 19th century, it was not limited to Homer's stories and poems, but the real history inside it came out. A thriving ancient urban civilization was discovered on the islands of the Aegean Sea and on the west coast of Asia Minor. The ruins of a hundred cities, including the epic city of Troy, have been discovered. which is called Aegean Civilization or Pre-Classical Greek Civilization.
