Bafta Film Awards 2023: The best moments of the biggest night in UK cinema

The Netflix anti-war epic, directed by German filmmaker Edward Berger and based on the 1929 novel of the same name by Erich Maria Remarque, also claimed wins in categories including best director, sound and original score.

Among the other top awards, Cate Blanchett was named best actress for her role in Tar, and Austin Butler claimed the best actor award for his performance as the king of rock 'n' roll in Elvis.

The Banshees of Insherin picked up four awards, including outstanding British film.
