I have audio-technically reworked this short NASA padcam-video to present you the absolutely real and powerful sound of a space shuttle liftoff.
Thanks to NASA's official help, I received a copy of the high-resolution audio recording made by Chris Pendl. He placed his professional microphone very close to the launch site and achieved what is probably the best sound recording of a space shuttle so close to the launch pad. When playing, please ensure that the volume is not set too high, as this sound could knock your socks off and possibly even destroy your headphones or loudspeakers!
