The city of Derna was washed away in what locals describe as tsunami of sorts hitting the city after two dams in the region fail. The death toll in the tragedy has risen to 2300. The city has to to dig up mass graves to bury the dead. Satellite pictures show complete devastation of the cities on Libya's coast.
