"The Shunned House" is a horror fiction novelette by American author H. P. Lovecraft. It was first published in the October 1937 issue of Weird Tales. The story tells of the narrator's fascination with an old abandoned house on Benefit Street, Providence, and his subsequent investigations into what may or may not dwell there.
