Everton manager Frank Lampard says he has inherited a good group of players and his short term target is moving them up the Premier League table.

The former Chelsea midfielder also said that his two new signings - Donny van de Beek and Dele Alli - come with 'a hunger' to prove what they can do.

The Toffees have also appointed Ashley Cole, a former team-mate of Lampard's with Chelsea and England, as a first-team coach.
