With many chants of “Africa Rising” currently heard in the world today, Perez explains through his talk why this is all an exaggeration, as the sense of entitlement Africa has is still prevalent. He explores the role we have to play to generate the stories that are being told about the continent and how this affects development. Perez Tigidam is a brand management consultant and media entrepreneur based in Nigeria.
