How young voices build strong democracy | Grace Sinats | TEDxBearCreekPark |
|
We often tell our youth that one day, they will change the world. But what if that one day is now? Fifteen-year-old Grace Sinats believes the youth of today are more than capable of building lifelong voting habits and changing their political landscape for the better. All we need to do is give them the right to vote.
Grace Sinats is a 15 year old climate activist, and advocate for lowering the voting age to 16. In 2019 her climate activist group mobilized over 20,000 people to the streets of Victoria, fighting for climate action. Her biggest passion is fighting for what is right, and breaking down the status-quo. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx |
