Director Tarun Mansukhani's film Dostana, which came in the year 2008, proved to be a charisma of the silver screen. Karan Johar's hit romantic-comedy told the story of three friends but in a completely different way than anything previously shown in B-Town. This is also the reason for its sequel Dostana 2 being in demand.
The film's content, story, music, everything was different but apart from this there was another specialty of the film, and that was its stylish costumes. The film was praised a lot for the performances, style and costumes of the actors. Not only this but the film also created new fashion trends in India. Priyanka's golden swimsuit in Dostana and John Abraham's yellow trunks both made the youngsters crazy by grabbing their attention. It is a standalone sequel to the 2008 movie Dostana also produced by Dharma Productions. Dostana 2 stars Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor and Laksh Lalwani in leading roles. It marks the Bollywood debut of Lalwani, and has been written by Navjot Gulati, Sumit Arora, Rishabh Sharma and D'Cunha.
