IN-FLOAT Extraordinary Innovation Project

Offshore wind power offers a solution to provide more clean energy supply to the world's ever-growing population. Floating wind turbines represent attractive opportunities for the industry. The IN-FLOAT concept is a new solution for floating offshore wind turbines, developed as a DNV GL Extraordinary Innovation Project in collaboration with Danish wind power pioneer Henrik Stiesdal. IN-FLOAT was developed as an open source project, applying standardization principles to open the door for industrialization of substructure design, ultimately reducing the cost of floating wind.
