The 2022 Academy Award nominations have been revealed with two Australians up for big awards.

Kiwi-directed film ‘The Power of the Dog’ topped the list, picking up an impressive 12 Academy Award nominations including history making Best Director nod.

‘Dune’ and ‘Belfast’ also garnered multiple nominations with ten and seven respectively both securing spots for Best Picture.

There were ten nominations for Best Picture with ‘The Power of the Dog, ‘CODA’, Japanese language ‘Drive My Car’, ‘Licorice Pizza’, ‘West Side Story’, ‘Nightmare Alley’, ‘Don’t Look Up’ and ‘King Richard’.
