Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time attended any program of JNU on Thursday 12 November. The Prime Minister unveiled the statue of Swami Vivekananda on the JNU campus. This statue was ready for almost two years. Students shouted slogans during the program. Slogans of Jayashree Ram were also raised in the campus.PM Modi unveiled this statue in a virtual way. After that, the students were addressed through video conferencing.During the program, the students were divided into two groups.
