In this video, we take a look at a 2019 3rd round draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens, Gianni Fairbrother. This Habs prospect has been developing nicely, and has been turning some heads of late as a result of his good play. Fairbrother is considered a defensive specialist by many scouts, and he also plays a posed game, with a bit of an edge and very physical. While not being the most flashy hockey player when it comes to offensive creativity, he tends to make the right decisions with the puck, and receives high praise from the Habs organization since his draft.
If everything goes as planned, Fairbrother will most likely join the Laval Rocket for the entirety of next season, and will add a stable tough stay at home defensemen to Joel Bouchards group.
