A talk that resonates with the questions we ask everyday about food, health, nutrition, diet, fitness and when results don't show- What in the world is wrong with my food!?
Dr. Ramanjaneyulu gives a critical insight as to why the current scenario about the journey of our food to our plate. He details with great examples from time itself, of why the food is the way it is and how the food reacts with the body of different geographies and lifestyles. His presentation covers wide areas pouring his knowledge and research on food. He concludes with great hope and advice to be careful and grateful for all the gifts of the world with the food on the plate. Dr. G. V. Ramanjaneyulu is the executive director at Centre of Sustainable Agriculture and has completed his PhD in Agiriculture from IRAI. His interest lies in working on public policy issues impacting on food systems and farmers livelihoods to build a framework which ensures income security to farmers. He is also working as a resource organisation supporting the programs of state and central governments.
He is promoting natural farming, with Society for Elimination of Poverty, Telangana, with Maharashtra State Livelihoods Mission in building the capacities of the staff and organisation involved in the program. He also Started ‘Grameen Academy’ which runs regular courses on Agroecological approaches, farmer producer organisations and Rural business enterprises, public policy for agriculture. He was recently awarded the 3rd Badshah Khan Memorial Award by ITM University, Gwalior and Rytunestham Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019 for his exemplary work and skills.
