Three Songs for Soprano and Piano After Poems by Ronen Altman-Kaydar 2. I sound strident to my own ears Moving too fast in the peripheral field of vision I'm talking too loud Loud and slow and squeaky Just so the emptied silence won't come So I won't be sucked into it at the speed of galaxies -- The sound of my throat burns into it, Painting passing bodies Doppler-red Silence! I scream, Give me a moment and I'll write you to death. The wind whispered: You can choose not to run And then it stopped. Now only I am bubbling over. How strident my voice is It's always been this way And I've never heard. Soprano: Osnat Kaydar Piano: Daniel Seroussi Recording of the world premiere on June 24, 2012 Piano Salon Christophori, Berlin Film: Masayuki Carvalho The concert was organized by Habait |
