Juul wants to solve social issues by connecting people, ideas and stuff we already have. He believes in the power of open organizational forms, which he calls in Dutch 'Organizaaien'. What makes Juul happy is seeing people realize their idea or dream within a larger perspective. Taking initiative, becoming creative and working together really inspires others to do the same. Currently Juul works on The House of Plenty (Huis van Overvloed). They are literally are building a co-working and meeting place in Nijmegen without any money, using materials that are abundant instead of purchasing new ones. Along with free materials, hundreds of volunteers, small and large businesses and the local municipality are joining in this worldwide unique project.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
