One person is dead and six others are hurt after a Monday night shooting in Northeast D.C., authorities said.

D.C. police responded to the 1500 block of F Street NE around 8:37 p.m. after reports of multiple people being shot.

Police Chief Robert Contee said six men were shot and one was killed. The shooting happened outside of the Azeeze-Bates apartments off 15th St. NE, 7News' Tom Roussey reports.
