Exercise 1:
Crunch up a piece of paper or tin foil and draw what you see without looking at your drawing. Use a soft (2B or higher) pencil and go very slowly. You can set a timer for 5 minutes or draw until your eye has travelled over the entire piece and you have drawn all the lines. Do not shade. Do not lift your pencil. Draw in one continuous line even if you cross over lines, move off the paper, etc. Do not talk out loud or in your head. Leave words and language out of it!
Have fun....this is a very meditative exercise.
