Sokoto State Government has confirmed the death of a female student Deborah Yakubu a 200 level student at Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE) Sokoto.

According to unconfirmed report, the student death was caused by an alleged blasphemy made by the deceased against Islamic religion through a social media group.

The female student was killed and burnt by outraged students killed at the school security gate in a mob action that overpowered the school securities.
