The kung-fu kick that cost Manchester United a league title

video thumbnail
In the first of a double-bill, we look into the niche sub-genre of long suspensions of Manchester United players. This time we’ll be looking at the time Eric Cantona kung-fu kicked a Crystal Palace fan. Winning the double in 1994 turned into the double of horrors – losing the Premier League on the final day to Blackburn and being runners-up in the 1995 FA Cup final against Everton. Once Cantona returned, United won the double once more before he retired in 1997.

Would Manchester United have won the double again in 1995?
Would they have won the Treble in 1999?
Would Eric Cantona have retired in 1997?
