Hongqi received 500 electric sports car orders from Norway where there are environmentally friendly policies and good infrastructure for electric vehicles. Hongqi means Red Flag - Communist Chinese Cultural Symbol. Hongqi was launched in 1958. It is an oldest Chinese passenger car brand. Originally, Hongqi cars were used only for high-ranking government officials and foreign dignitaries but it ended up being used as taxis or low-end business sedans. Hongqi went through many evolutions since 1958.
