Billy Sharp is leaving Southampton FC today.

This has been a turbulent summer with lots of our star names leaving for big transfer fees. Some of these players have been at the club a long time and played a massive part in our rise back up the football league (particularly thinking of Lambert & Lallana).

Whilst Billy Sharp leaves the club for nothing, he can hold his head up high and know that in the short time that he was in the clubs' first team; he played perhaps as important part as any of those who he follows out of the club.
Billy you can hold your head up high, knowing that the Saints fans will always have you, Louis & your family in their hearts.

Thank you for all that you have done for the club and it's fans and good luck with getting your career back on track and banging in some goals.
