Billa, a Telugu gangster-thriller film directed by Meher Ramesh, a remake of the 2007 Tamil Film of the same name. But some scenes were changed to suit the Telugu audience. It also drew inspirations from the NTR-starring Telugu film, Yugandhar (1979) which drew inspirations from Amitabh Bachchan's Hindi film titled Don and one of Rajinikanth's 1980 Tamil film with the same title. Prabhas Raju Uppalapati plays the lead role, where he plays dual roles of the characters Billa and Swami Ranga, with Anushka Shetty and Namitha playing the heroines.
