We pick up on the campaigns of Germanicus at the end of the campaigning season of 15 AD. The legions have just had a campaign filled with victories against the Germanic Tribes and almost even caught Arminius himself. However as the year drew to a close they were forced to relent and turn back to their bases on the Rhine. Caecina and four legions went south along The Long Bridges which crossed over a region of marshes. However it had been undermined by the weather and the enemy to the point that it could not be crossed. Arminius followed closely and now had the Roman Army trapped as had occured previously at Teutoburg Forest.

We cover the harrowing multi-day battle of the Long Bridges that would decide the fate of the Roman legions as they attempt to hold off the enemy attacks long enough to complete repairs and make their escape. The legions caught in this trap must have been haunted by the aftermath of Teutoburg Forest they had witnessed just a few months earlier.
