Zappa once stated that “Republicans stand for raw, unbridled evil and greed and ignorance smothered in balloons and ribbons.” Decades after his passing and with an abundance of restrictive legislation both passed and looming on the horizon, this point still rings true. While Zappa is seen as a conservative icon of sorts, he saw the rise of the religious right and the rebirth of the Republican Party as the beginning of a bleak American future. This is a video about that future and how Zappa tried to not only stop it, but warn people of those dangers.

Correction: Zappa passed away in late ‘93, not ‘94.
