The Silk Road is one of the great wonders of the world. Put it on the list! For over 1500 years it formed a backbone of cultural, genetic, and even disease transmission across Eurasia. Focusing on a few key figures such as Tong Yabghu, Qaghan of the 7th century Göktürks and Zhang Qian, emissary and explorer of the Han Dynasty, this video is a departure from our normal style.
