Sunday Jan 17th 2010. Otofuke Kyudo Dojo, Hokkaido, Japan. Shikaoi-Otofuke Shin-nen Taikai. Gregory Stewart performs the opening ceremony yawatashi (shooting demonstration) for his first time. A small error in form during the first hirakiashi, but the target was hit with both arrows in the actual shooting. Sensei Uno Hideki can be seen taking photographs at various times. His wife Mrs Uno said that she had tears in her eyes. Part 1 shows entering the dojo, formal bow (zassharei), hadanugi and shooting of the first arrow (haya).
