Dr. Bound-Alberti is a cultural historian that focuses extensively on the histories of emotion, medicine, gender and the body. In 2000, she researched and lectured at several UK universities, including York, University College London, Lancaster, Manchester, and Queen Mary University of London, where she co-founded the Centre for the History of Emotions. In 2019 she became one of the first UK Research and Innovation Future Fellows, to undertake critical research into the emotional history and ethics of face transplants.
