Today, Tuesday, 23 January 2024, Yuki Tsunoda returned to the track on the Imola circuit. On board the 2022 AlphaTauri AT03, the Japanese driver completed many laps to prepare for the following Formula 1 season, starting with the official tests from February 21 to 23 on the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain. As per the regulations for these training days, it is impossible to use the last single-seater of the 2023 season, the AT04, but an older model from a couple of past seasons can be used, so the choice fell on the AT03 single-seater. Interestingly, the latter is a new-generation car equipped with ground effect and 18-inch tires, just like the cars used in the latest F1 championships. These tests will, therefore, be even closer in driving and sensations to the soon-to-debut 2024 single-seater. The car adopts the Honda RBPTH001 1.6-litre V6 turbo hybrid engine coupled to an electronically controlled sequential semi-automatic gearbox made by Red Bill and consisting of 8 gears + reverse. Other construction features include a frame made of composite material and carbon fibre, and the overall weight of the single-seater is 798kg with water, oil and a driver. Enjoy! 😉

Nella giornata di oggi, Martedì 23 Gennaio 2024, Yuki Tsunoda è tornato nuovamente in pista sul circuito di Imola. A bordo della AlphaTauri AT03 del 2022. Il pilota giapponese ha compiuto molti giri per prepararsi alla prossima stagione di Formula 1 che prenderà il via con i test ufficiali dal 21 al 23 Febbraio sul circuito di Sakhir in Bahrain. Come da regolamento per queste giornate di allenamento non è possibile utilizzare l'ultima monoposto della stagione 2023, la AT04 ma si può impiegare un modello più datato di un paio di stagioni passate, dunque la scelta è ricaduta sulla monoposto AT03. Interessante notare che quest'ultima è una vettura di nuova generazione ed è dotata di effetto suolo e pneumatici da 18 pollici proprio come le auto impiegate negli ultimi campionati di F1. Questi test dunque saranno ancora più vicini nella guida e nelle sensazioni alla monoposto 2024 di prossimo debutto. La vettura adotta il motore Honda RBPTH001 da 1.6-Litri V6 turbo ibrido accoppiato ad un cambio semiautomatico sequenziale a controllo elettronico prodotto da Red Bull formato da 8 marce + retromarcia. Altre caratteristiche costruttive comprendono un telaio in materiale composito e fibra di carbonio ed il peso complessivo della monoposto è di 798Kg con acqua, olio e pilota. Buona visione! 😉
