Live Tonight on Millennium Stage : Columbia Heights Educational Campus (CHEC) Music Department is proud to present selections representing the skills and talents of musicians in grades 6 through 12. Our combined Lincoln Middle School Orchestra, Band, and Chorus will perform Siyahamba, a South African freedom song, followed by a performance by the Lincoln Middle School and CHEC Wind and Jazz Ensembles. The CHEC Wind Ensemble will perform "O, Freedom" from Civil Rights: A Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. And His Journey Through 1963 that chronicles Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's penning of Letters from a Birmingham Jail, arranged by Aaron Noe. The CHEC Jazz Ensemble will then perform selections featuring three of our graduating Seniors from the Class of 2022.
