Westmont College, Montecito, CA |
|
The first time I visited this campus was when I was teaching a Gen Chem class and was using the Tro textbook. Those of you who have taken a chem class might know Tro, because it's one of the most popular textbooks in chem departments. The writer, Dr. Tro, was the department chair here when I last visited. However, not sure if he still is?
Due to COVID, all the department buildings were locked; but I was fortunate enough to walk around the campus and take pictures/videos, and I truly appreciated that. I wanted to show this school to those students who want to attend a quieter type of college. It is a very serene location, in my favorite city, Montecito, in the county of Santa Barbara. Once you enter the campus, you won’t regret it, even just to hike around. I say “hike” because it is very hilly, so make sure you wear flats or good walking shoes! |
