MV-X recorded direct into Steinberg UR22, with Lepou VST and Kefir cabinet. Vocals are 'ducking' guitar at around 620hz.

During the parts where the guitar is playing without any vocals, it sounds to have pretty good 'chug' and 'spank', even at 192kbps mp3, which seems to be the sound quality of Windows Movie Maker. By golly it even sounds to have a bit of 'chime' too. So basically, you can get some interesting tones with a relatively low-cost guitar, and a computer with i/o, some kind of host, and free ampsims/fx. ymmv |
