As South Africa remains in lockdown level 3, with certain restrictions added, President Cyril Ramaphosa said that there are 276, 242 Covid-19 cases currently, meaning that the country is now recording over 12 000 cases a day. Making the announcement last night, President Ramaphosa also said that a quarter of those who had passed away from the virus, had only died in the last week. South Africa is now recording the fourth-highest increase in new cases worldwide.
