Hysteroscopy is a procedure which allows a doctor to look inside your uterus in order to diagnose and treat infertility or abnormal bleeding.
What is hysteroscopy
hysteroscopy is a procedure in which a tulona cystoscope is inserted into the cervix into the uterus so as to examine the inside of the uterus and the region in which the tubes get connected to the uterus. It can be diagnostic or operative.
What is diagnostic hysteroscopy
This is done as a procedure in which the patient has either infertility breathing or the ultrasound for HSG findings suggest an abnormality. Additionally a laparoscope may be inserted in the abdomen for treatment and diagnosis and then the procedure is known as a laparo hysteroscopy.

What is operative hysteroscopy?
Operative hysteroscopy is when we insert the hysteroscope scope into the uterus and use small instruments to operate on- Polyps and fibroids Additions
Septums
Abnormal bleeding.
When should hysteroscopy be performed?
Ideally should be performed within the first week of the menstrual cycle.

Who is a candidate for hysteroscopy?
Anyone with an abnormal bleeding, infertility, before an IVF procedure, any abnormality inside the uterus detected on ultrasound for HSG is a candidate for the procedure.
